Hunter residents were again given their chance to get tickets for this year’s supercars event, which will take place in the streets of Newcastle from November 23-25.
While the event gave spectators a chance to snatch up discounted trackside tickets, it was also an opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the top drivers.
Current championship leader Shane van Gisbergen, former Supercars champions Garth Tander, James Courtney, and Mark Winterbottom, reigning Bathurst 1000 champion David Reynolds, 2017 Teams’ Champion driver Fabian Coulthard, former Bathurst champions Chaz Mostert, Nick Percat and Will Davison, Supercars kiwi rookie Richie Stanaway and the popular first female full-time driver in the Supercars era, Simona De Silvestro, were on hand to meet with and sign autographs for fans.
An advanced sale of grandstand tickets – for 2017 grandstand ticket holders – will run from April 11 to 25, with remaining tickets open to the public from April 29.
