It was Fury that slipped into the cellar position as Fever took the 4-goal lead in the end, winning 59-55 over their fellow club team.
The win is Fever’s first of the season, and snaps a five-game losing streak that the United club had begun the season with.
The 114-goal flurry was also the highest recorded tally in the Charlestown top grade so far this season, with the closest before that Job Done’s victory over Fever in the second round of the year, which ended 66-44.
On the other side of the match, Fury will be disappointed with the defeat, but they remain just three points away from sixth spot, and two wins outside finals contention.
Elsewhere in the Saturday fixtures, and Watters returned to second place with a 46-39 victory over Job Done, while Central Crossfire bumped Purnells below them into fourth with a 36-29 win.
United Sass were forced to forfeit the sixth round game against Heat, keeping the auto-winners two points clear atop the standings.
