POLICE are investigating after a stolen vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier leaving one woman injured and closed a section of the Pacific Highway.

Just before 1.30am Monday a Holden Cruze was travelling along the highway at Charlestown, when it crashed.
Police were told three men exited the vehicle and fled the scene.
A woman, who was also a passenger in the car, was treated by paramedics before being taken to John Hunter Hospital, where she underwent surgery.
Officers attached to Lake Macquarie Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Just before 3am, a man attended John Hunter Hospital and was treated for injuries relating to a car crash.
Police have spoken to the man and inquiries are continuing.
