In an effort to provide students with “effective” ways to approach the schooling system’s final slew of examinations and tests, UON has partnered with HSC in the Holidays to deliver a free seminar detailing “proven strategies on how to answer questions”, “help students reduce anxiety” and “maintain motivation”.
The lecture will be held at UON’s Callaghan campus on Monday, July 16, from 10am.
The program has already been heralded as a huge success for many students, HSC in the Holidays director Shane Hardcastle has said, explaining that the free service has given many students “support and advice for the final hurdle of high school”.
“The increased numbers we see attending each year is testament to how valuable students find [the seminars],” Mr Hardcastle said.

It has also been praised by now-graduated students, including state-ranked Clayton McKinnon, who described the event as “incredibly beneficial”.
“The lecturers, many of whom are HSC markers, provide unmatched insight into the examination process,” McKinnon said.
“The advice that the HSC in the Holidays team provide is second to none. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.”
HSC in the Holidays has stated the information presented in the University-hosted seminar is most relevant to current Year 11 and 12 students, but Year 10 students are also welcome.
To attend, students must book a seat in the lecture hall, either by calling 1300677336 or visiting hscintheholidays.com.au/our-program/hsc-ace-the-hsc-seminars.
