While all three announcements will be big news for fans of the punk rock band, it’s the last that’s most relevant to Novovastrian music lovers, as The Living End joins a bumper line-up to celebrate the new ‘30s and 40s something’ festival.
On Tuesday the full cohort of bands and acts was announced, and includes Killing Heidi, Sneaky Sound System, Skunkhour, Dallas Crane, Front End Loader, Kid Kenobi, Groove Terminator and Goodwill. The festival will also boast an appearance from host Lindsay “The Doctor” McDougal from Frenzal Rhomb.
In the Star’s recent news
The Living End’s frontman Chris Cheney said he can’t wait to “hit the road” with the new music, and one of the first stops is at Wickham Park in Sunday, November 4.
“[Our album and tour] does what The Living End do best, what’s kept hundreds of thousands of fans listening for nearly a quarter of a century – straightforward, heart-pounding, guns blazing rock and roll,” Cheney said. “I cannot wait to hit the road and get loud.”
Given the festival’s Sunday scheduling, the music will wrap up at the work-friendly time of 9pm.
Pre-sale starts at 9am on July 18 with general public kicking off at 9am the following day. Tickets will begin at $99.90 in the Early Bird sale.
The Living End have a busy festival circuit ahead, as they will also appear at the Red Hot Summer Tour at Roche Estate in Pokolbin next February.
