NEWCASTLE’S only National Trust House, Miss Porter’s House, will celebrate national family history month with a special exhibition called The Ephemera of Family History.
The National Trust describes the house as “a living home, offering a rare and privileged visit into other lives and times.”
The exhibition, which will be held on August 12, will feature the family’s collection of greeting cards, letters, photographs and other household records.
Home cooked treats, craft items and cards will be on sale.
The House is located at 434 King Street, Newcastle West.
It will be open between 1pm and 4pm. Entry is $8 adults, $20 family, $6 pensioners and children five years and over. Trust Members and children under five are free.
