Great conditions made for good fishing and an excellent turn out for the weigh-in around with 180kg presented. Over all line honours went to Redhead bowling club again with around 85kg, weighing in second was Swansea RSL with 58kg and third place to Pelican with 32kg.
The deep sea division went to Redhead bowling club with beach and rock, the lake and estuary divisions going to Swansea RSL.
The Redhead boys that fished Broughton Island caught some nice trag, pearl perch, snapper with one snapper tipping the scales at around 5.5kg cleaned.
Some other keen Redhead anglers ventured wider in deep water and scored good jew to around 7kg in the lake with Jason Taylor (pictured) with a pair of nice jew taken on the day on soft plastics. Also taken from the lake was some good snapper up to 2kg.
A good weekend had by all. Redhead supplied a wonderful barbecue weigh-in and all are looking forward to the last event to be hosted by Pelican RSL in October.
