After a fortnight off for the holiday break, many teams may have been forgiven for a slow start back at the Jack Stewart Courts.
Job Done weren’t interested in lethargic openings however – there were no cobwebs for the now-fourth placed team as they put in their statement of finals intent, brushing aside United Fury 70-32.

The win tops a record for the 2018 season – no team has scored more than 66 goals in a single match before Saturday afternoon.
Job Done brought three shooters to bear across the four quarters, as shooter Shanaya Neesom combined with India Bignall (first half) and Jamie Wakefield (second half), all of whom were “great”, coach Kris Lonsdale said.
“The scoreline was good and the shooting was great,” she said. “It was an all round strong effort from us, it was a pretty big margin – very happy with our shooters and the whole team.”
The last time a fast-starting squad had bagged a similar haul was also Job Done, when they downed Fever 66-44 in the 110-goal epic of round two, and league-leading Heat in round ten (also 66 goals).
Job Done's major goal-flurry also puts them a single point inside the top four placings, and Lonsdale revealed if the squad can make the finals she believes they can “go all the way”.
“Hopefully we can make the top four, because I’m confident in our team’s strengths that if we’re there we’ll give everyone a run for their money,” she said.
“We just have to get there first, but if we can get to fourth spot we can go all the way from there.”
Elsewhere in Charlestown’s top grade, Heat moved one game closer to recording an undefeated season as they downed Purnells, 54-30.
Watters kept hold of second, and still remain an outside chance to draw level with first place after a 58-34 win over United Sass, while Crossfire downed United Fever, 53-37, to keep hold of third place.
