As well as their dangerous attack, led by rising star Claire Kowald, the team conceded just 23.7 goals per game. In comparison, second placed Watters let 34.7 goals past them each match on average.

Elsewhere at the Jack Stewart courts, Job Done confirmed their fourth place finish with a 69-27 win over United Sass, while Purnells fell just a single point short of a playoff position despite their tight 50-48 win over Fury.

The fifth placed team also dropped to six players in their final game, but managed to keep ahead of their United opponents to close out what has been a strong season for the team.

Finally, Watters bagged a 58-46 victory over United Fever in their last match, and will take confidence from their 12 goal win as they brace for finals impact.

Heat now face Watters next Saturday in the first-second clash, with both teams eager to earn the week off in the finals, while Crossfire and Job Done will face off in the third-fourth match-up to earn their spot in the preliminary final.
