Those fishing the protected western shores of the lake, seem to be producing results with a group from Swansea RSL Fishing Club finding decent snapper and bream in the areas between the Eraring outlet and Dora Creek. All on soft plastics, they also encountered a large school of squid which where taking anything that hit the water. Flathead continue to bite well this week as shown in picture of the week with two-and-a-half-year-old Ivy Quinlan catching her first flatty of over 85cm (with a little help from Dad) well done!
Those who did make it outside last week found reasonable squire in close but were harassed by hoards of small trevally. When anchoring offshore be aware that whales are still migrating north, so keep an eye out for them approaching as they can, and do, become entangled in anchor ropes resulting in a wild ride (trust me I know). New laws come into effect on September 1 regarding jew fish. You can only keep one (1) fish over 70cm per person, per day, and one over 70cm in possession at any time per person.
On the Water this Week:

Visibility: good
Moon: waxing
Swell: high
Tides: high, 12am/pm
