Although the fishing was reported to be very quiet by all teams some reasonable catches were still presented.
Those fishing offshore found some squire and flathead with Caleb Pritchard and his father Matt venturing out wide to the farm and scoring a big catch of kingfish on live baits as pictured.
Those fishing the lake found conditions slow with zero jew caught but some nice snapper to 2kg showing up.
One lucky angler also caught a queen snapper of around 2kg offshore.
These fish are found only in southern waters around South Australia and Southern WA so this fellow was a long way from home.
October should see the start of the new summer season of fishing with the first prawns, it will kick-start a lot of the summer species such as whiting and flathead in the channel.
Also, we should start to see a rise in the water temps in the coming weeks.
On the Water this Week:
TEMPS: 17 degrees
Visibility: good
Moon: full
Swell: average
Tides: high, about 12pm
