Andrew Bryant, the council’s acting manager of community planning, said the community is invited to attend the activities being held in Valentine, Redhead and Warners Bay.
“Children’s Week recognises the right for children to enjoy childhood and Lake Macquarie encourages all children and families to enjoy this special week for our youngest citizens,” Mr Bryant said.
“Council’s mobile library, The Rover, will be on hand at each of the events, providing an opportunity for children to learn and develop new skills in a safe and welcoming environment.”
Each year, the council host events around the lake to celebrate the significance of all children and to provide them the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe controlled environment.
