Mundine is in camp with Roy Jones Jr in Florida in a move that's caught Horn out and forced him to promote the November 30 fight on his own.

"How often does Australian boxing get this opportunity to shine?" he asked.

"Mundine's signed the fight ... and then just taken off on a plane for a month.

"One of the best things about Mundine is he knows how to sell a fight and he's not here to do it."

Horn said he wasn't aware of his opponent's plans to train abroad and that it had been a source of frustration.

"They're taking 50 percent of the cut of the profits so he's meant to take half of the load," he said.

"If he doesn't then he shouldn't get half of the load.

"I'm keen on getting the contract out and having a look at it and seeing if we can either try to get him home or reduce his cut and get him less money."

Horn also took the chance to confirm he wanted Advance Australia Fair to be played despite Mundine's recent calls for the anthem to be scrapped and replaced in general.

"One of the proudest moments of my life was having the national anthem played in the biggest moment of my life at Suncorp Stadium when I beat Manny Pacquiao last year,'' he said.

"I respect indigenous Australians and will be happy to stand to show my respect if Mundine chooses to honour his cultural heritage on the night.

"I just want to clear the air on this well before the fight because I know these issues are important to both of us."
