Last weekend saw the arrival of some nice clear warm waters around 19 degrees which with the start of the prawn run, should see a great improvement on the fishing scene.

Last weekend also saw the final competition weekend for the Swansea RSL Fishing Club for 2018.
Some excellent fish were weighed with whiting, tailor and a fantastic lure caught snapper of around 2.5kg by Jason Taylor as pictured.
This coming weekend should see plenty of options, weather permitting for anglers with local beaches holding good quantities of tailor, whiting and Jew.
Blacksmiths, Catho and Stockton beaches are fishing well at the moment, just look for a deep gutter close to shore and fish a making tide where possible.
Offshore fishing should be worth a look this weekend with better reds showing up around the 30m mark of Newcastle, Wybung with the trag being taken off the Bay also.
Squid are turning up of Swansea Heads and around the drop over in the lake and with the prawns starting to run, they should also be found in the channel between the bridge and heads on the run-out tide.
On the Water this Week:
TEMPS: 19 degrees
Visibility: good
Moon: waxing
Tides: low, morning/ afternoon
