Meet this week’s pooches:
Jake, 5 years, kelpie-X
G’day! Me name’s Jake.
I’m looking for a home where I can be really useful.
If you’ve got a tennis ball that needs fetching or a jogging buddy to help with your fitness, I’m your guy.
I also specialise in looking after kids, I’ll keep them safe and play with them in the yard for hours.
It’s kinda my thing, and I’m darn good at it.
DRN are helping me find a new home because me sister’s picking on me.
I don’t want to argue with girls, but enough is enough if you know what I mean. It’s time for me to go and find a new home that’s right for me.
I’m an outside kinda guy. I sleep outside, eat outside, play outside. I just need shelter from the rain and sun.
I’ve gotta admit that inside life looks pretty sweet though.
If me new family thought that an hour or two inside at night was a fair trade for all the babysitting and personal training lessons I offered during the day, then that would be a pretty sweet deal.
I’d be pretty happy with that hey!
I can’t read a book or noth’n, but I’m smart and I learn real quick.
I like people and I listen when I’m spoken to.

Sid, 9 years, red cattle dog-X
Sid would love to be your faithful companion!
He came into foster care through no fault of his own when his family situation changed.
Sid does have some arthritis and is on a small dose of Meloxicam but with daily exercise and weight control his condition should be easily kept at bay.
It doesn’t restrict him in any way at all. He’s not on any special diet, just dry dog food, and loves a bone now and then to keep his teeth clean.
Sid doesn’t have any behavioural issues, and would be okay with another dog his size but not smaller.
Sid is housetrained and would be suitable for a full-time worker as he could cope with being an only dog.
