A new digital mapping device, which shows the number and type of construction activities driving Newcastle's growth, is the latest piece of intuitive software launched by the city.
From large road maintenance activities to major development projects, the interactive map provides a snapshot of construction data all on the one page.
Like the city’s flood alert services and street art mapping tool before it, the Civil Works map is designed to streamline communication to residents quickly and easily to keep them informed and up-to-date with our 2018-19 Civil Works Program.
Our city is delivering a number of significant projects before June 30 including a $7.1 million upgrade of local bridges, $8.2 million towards Newcastle's Smart City program, $8.1 million to renew and upgrade the existing storm water network and $7.9 million on a solar farm to be built at the Summerhill Waste Centre.
Renewing parks, open spaces and sporting facilities ($5.4 million), allocating money to our cultural facilities ($5.1 million) and increasing cycling links ($2.6 million) are also included in the delivery program.
