This weekend looks like a bit of a mixed bag at this stage. If the weather holds, offshore anglers should look for snapper moving in close for winter in the 20 - 30m range.
Kingfish are about in close however the size is generally below legal, with better fish showing up further north.
Beach anglers should target whiting while they last and tailor which should start improving during the next few weeks.
Plenty of dusky flathead in the lake for the lure chuckers, with bream and whiting on the shallows as usual for this time of year.
A few squid are about but a bit of patience is required.
Swansea RSL Fishing Club held its annual outing to Harrington last weekend with a good crowd attending, there were plenty of fish presented to the weigh-in.
The offshore guys fishing out of Crowdy Head caught dolphin fish, pearl pearch, snapper and flathead with the beach fishermen picking up bream, whiting and tailor.
Great weather ensured a good time was had by all and over $600 in prize money made. The trip well worth while.
