Stewart, 18, and Barker, 26, who both play for the Waratahs Rugby Union Club in Newcastle, were selected to play left wing and centre respectively for the clash against Queensland Reds at Leichhardt Oval starting at 4.30pm.
Newcastle and Hunter Rugby Union president Bill Clifton said it was "wonderful" that the two players from the local competition had been named in the team after an outstanding Super W season.

"Katrina started in the centres for NSW but shifted to half-back in the final competition game against Melbourne Rebels and was clinical in her delivery," Clifton said.
"She has played very well both at centre and at half-back for NSW.
"Maya is only 18 years old and in her second season of playing rugby union and has a really bright future ahead of her.
"She has played in all the 2019 season games and her opening minute try against the Rebels was a display of sheer speed as she out-paced the defence to follow a kick and score in the corner.
"It was Maya's second try in Super W and I'm sure we are going to see many more."
Barker has been selected in the centres for the grand final on Sunday.
She has already played for the Australian Wallaroos (Australian Rugby Women's team) and was a member of the winning NSW grand final side last year but left the field late in the match because of an elbow injury.
NSW Waratahs Women announced its grand final squad of 23 late on Wednesday with Barker to pull on the No.12 jumper and Stewart No.14.
NSW was undefeated in the four preliminary rounds, beating ACT Brumbies 26-0, Queensland Reds 15-12, Western Australian Women 31-0 and the Rebels 66-12.
