Offshore and beach fishos have had to contend with an invasion of fine red weed.
This can make things difficult as it can quickly accumulate around your line making it almost impossible to fish.
Perseverance is the key here as I have fished in this weed plenty of times both offshore and on the beach and have had good catches in it indicating that if doesn't bother them then it shouldn't bother you.
I have been seeing plenty of photos of big jew being taken off the local beaches and breakwalls last week and this should continue for several weeks now.

The warm water continues along our coast - much to the delight of surfers and swimmers but should start to taper off soon.
