Volunteer of the Month
Nathan Aurisch
Nathan Aurisch has been named Macquarie Football's Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month for June.
Nathan was nominated by Warners Bay FC for his ongoing commitment and dedication to football over a number of years.
Nathan works tirelessly around the clock to ensure everything runs smoothly and to make sure everything is organised. Nathan dedicates himself in his roles as club president, coach of his son's under-13 squad, a player in the over-35 team and as the acting Herald Women's Premier League coordinator.
Newcastle Permanent acting CEO Mark Williams congratulated Nathan on becoming the recipient of the Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month Award.
"Volunteers are the lifeblood of clubs and without their hard work games would not happen every weekend," Williams said.
"Our thanks go to the thousands of volunteers across Northern NSW who give their time so generously and ensure players and spectators have a great experience on and off the field."
Laura Ranger
Laura Ranger has been named Newcastle Football's Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month for June.
Laura was nominated by Mayfield United Junior Senior FC for her ongoing commitment and dedication to football over many years of service.
Laura has fulfilled many roles in the club including coaching her son's under-6 team, taking on the role of committee secretary, working in the registrar role, getting the mini roos 'kick off program' up and running and filling mini roos coordinator roles.
Laura continues to encourage new volunteers to join the Mayfield ranks to contribute back to the club and to the community.
"Without volunteers such as Laura our sport simply would not be in the position it currently enjoys," NNSWF senior officer community football Ross Hicks said.
"Laura's contribution to Mayfield United has been key to its ability to provide positive football experiences for all its members.
"I am pleased that NNSWF is able to thanks and recognise Laura on behalf of the sport."
Coach of the Month
Christian Plant
Christian Plant has been named as Macquarie Football's Newcastle Permanent Community Coach of the Month for June.
Christian was nominated by Lake Macquarie FC for his commitment to a number of teams over the duration of his service to the club.
Christians dedication to his team does not go unnoticed as he juggles his own commitments plus puts in 110 per cent effort into his team each year.
"It is very pleasing to be able to recognise Christian for displaying the attitudes and behaviours that Northern NSW Football is trying to instil in all community coaches," NNSWF senior officer community football Ross Hicks said.
"Providing an effective learning environment in a safe and fun way is key to Lake Macquarie FC providing a positive football experience to their players and Christian should be commended for his commitment to the club and the team."
Ross Buxton
Ross Buxton has been named as Newcastle Football's Newcastle Permanent Community Coach of the Month for June.
Ross was nominated by Shortland United FC for his commitment to a number of teams over the duration of her service to the club.

He is always around when help is needed yet still manages to coach and supervises junior team coaches.
Newcastle Permanent acting CEO Mark Williams congratulated Ross on becoming the recipient of the Coach of the Month Award.
"Coaching plays a vital role in developing the skills and attitude of young players. Through our Community Football Awards, I am delighted we are able to recognise the efforts of local coaches who are dedicated to developing their players," Williams said.
