The event is being coordinated by Tangerine Events at The Station on Sunday, July 28 and will include a chilli eating competition with Newcastle businesses encouraged to get involved by nominating a work colleague or friend.
Entry to the competition is $200 with a selection of prizes up for grabs.
All proceeds will be going to Soul Café Newcastle which provides hundreds of free meals per week to disadvantaged members of the community - many of whom are homeless, have a mental illness, substance abuse issue or live in poverty.
It is hoped that funds raised from the day will go towards helping Soul Cafe reach its fundraising goal of $165,000.
