Zeus: 1 year, American Staffy
Hi my name is Zeus. I am a one year old, blue American Staffy who is looking for a loving home. I am a cuddle monster with a kind heart and cheeky charismatic personality and am very quiet. I will be content just keeping you company.
Although I may appear to be rough on the outside I am truly a sook who will need inside time to curl up with my family whether that's on the ground at your feet or on the lounge.
To play is in my nature, so a walk to a park or beach will suit me best. I am not your typical looking Staffy with my boxer looking loose mouth, but that just gives me that more sophisticated handsome look, wouldn't you agree?
I am currently living with my foster carers and have been with them for a month. I was in a kennel for two months, which is pretty crazy considering how dashing I am.
Due to my stature and strength I will require someone who knows how to handle my type of breed.
I love tug of war, it lets me get out my playful side and connect with my humans. I will need someone who is an active companion but will allow me to snuggle up with them at the end of the day. If you are looking for a quiet, active, funny and incredibly loving dog Zeus will be perfect for you.

Tia: 4 years, Great Dane X
If size matters to you when it comes to all things doggy, then check out this giant ball of goofy goodness. Tia is a four year old, Great Dane-cross-bull mastiff. She has had all her vet work done and is ready to start her life with a family who can handle all 50kgs of her.
Tia was living with another older dog and also with kids.
Her energy became too much for the older dog and that's why she is in our care. She would love to have another large and youngish dog to play with and keep her company.
Due to her size, she will need to be homed with kids over 12 who she can't accidentally knock over.
She will also need someone to give her some patience and training for walking on lead. Secure fences and gates are a must and Tia's family will need to accommodate and research the needs of a large breed dog as far as nutrition, joint health etc. as she goes through life.
With some training and love, this dog will make a great companion. For more information visit www.petrescue.com.au/listings/728332 or email adopt@dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
