An annual event, the Waratahs Rugby Union Club's Old Boys Association will host its major fundraising luncheon in Hamilton on August 9 which will also see former Wallabies Tony Melrose and Bill Calcraft attend alongside Chikarovski.
"Women's rugby is rapidly developing and the game has attracted massive interest since the Australian Women Rugby 7s won the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics," Old Boys president Reg Jarvis said.
"The Old Boys are proudly supporting our undefeated Waratahs women's team in the local competition and the test match... between the Wallaroos and Japan's Cherry Blossom's was a beauty.
"We decided that our guest speaker this year should be a person heavily involved in this aspect of the code.
"Kerry, or Chika as she is well known to many, has been a long time supporter of rugby in this country, and in particular the women's game.
"Her passion for developing female participation rates was evident when she sponsored the Chikarovski 2017 NSW Women's Rugby Cup.
"We look forward to hearing from her at the lunch."
Chikarovski is a former NSW Liberal leader. She is the only woman ever to have held the leadership of the Opposition in the NSW Legislative Assembly.
She is also the founder and director of Chikarovski & Associates, a government relations, community engagement and stakeholder relations consultancy, which she founded in 2003, the same year she was appointed to the board of NSW Rugby Union.
Mr Jarvis said Melrose and Calcraft were guest speakers at the 2018 function.
"They enjoyed themselves so much last year that they wanted to attend the 2019 function," he said.
The two will participate in an informal session at the lunch, which will be held at Hamilton North Bowling Club between noon and 4pm on August 9.
The cost is $80 for Old Boys and registered players or $100 for other guests.
