With over 25 years of experience, Dr Salaria completed his FRACS Orthopaedics training at Newcastle from 2008 to 2012 and Spine fellowships at the University of California, Irvine and Royal Brisbane Hospital in Brisbane from 2012 to 2013.
He has also completed fellowships in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty and Upper Limb at the Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
Dr Salaria is committed to continually educate himself by attending several different Australian and American spine, hip and knee workshops and meetings in order to stay abreast of developing techniques and practices.
He is also a proud member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.
Much of Dr Salaria's focus is to try all the non operative options available before considering an appropriate minimum invasive surgery.
"I provide comprehensive non operative and operative orthopaedic treatment for the Spine, Hip and Knee arthritis, Fractures and Nerve compressions.
"I have special interest in differentiating between spine or shoulder, hip or knee joints as the main source of pain." Said Dr Salaria.
Non operative treatments include education about the disease and exercise programs, Cortisone and platelet rich plasma injections and appropriate medications.
Operative treatments include; Knee- Cartilage repair, robotic and patient specific total knee replacements, anterior minimal invasive total hip replacement and treatment for the spines including microscopic herniated disc surgery, cervical and lumbar disc replacements, minimal invasive and computer navigation assisted spine fusion surgery. Patients suffering with carpal tunnel can also receive endoscopic carpal tunnel release.
