Newcastle City Choir is calling on members of the public with a passion for singing to join its monthly open rehearsals. The 64 year old soprano, alto, tenor and bass choir meet at Mayfield Uniting Church Hall on the first Wednesday of each month from 7pm.

Under the expert baton of musical director Leanne Sampson, who recently returned from 25 years leading choral groups in France, the choir's regular repertoire has expanded to include classic composers and songs in Hebrew, Latin and German.
The choir presents its own concerts, contributes to civic occasions and unites with other choirs to raise funds for worthy causes. Most recently the choir took part in the Four Choirs Concert at Adamstown Uniting Church and the Warners Bay Festival of Choirs.
