Back was the Perth-bred comedian's first national tour of Australia after touching down in the country last year. The shows, in March and April, sold out in record time and Minchin will be back in the new year to do it again.
Back, billed as being filled with "old songs, new songs, f*** you songs", will stop in Newcastle, Hobart, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne in March 2020.
Minchin will take to Newcastle's Civic Theatre stage on Monday, March 23.
Back first toured Australia and New Zealand's capital cities in March and April this year.
The musical comedy featured new songs such as F*** This, Leaving LA and If This Plane Goes Down, as well as songs from his recent musical works such as When I Grow Up from Matilda the Musical and Seeing You from Groundhog Day.
A new song called 15 Minutes (of Shame) was also performed during the run of early 2019 shows.
Tickets for all Back shows go on sale at noon on Wednesday, August 28.
