Lake Macquarie City Council is offering grants of up to $1000 to eligible organisations for events and activities staged as part of Youth Week in April next year. Manager Community Partnerships Andrew Bryant said the grants were available to any incorporated non-profit organisation hosting Youth Week activities or events within the Lake Macquarie LGA aimed at young people aged 12-24.

"Youth Week is an opportunity for young people to express their ideas and views, act on issues that affect their lives, and create and enjoy activities and events," Mr Bryant said.
Events that achieve outcomes identified in the Lake Macquarie Youth Strategy, will be highly regarded for funding. Applications can be lodged online at better.lakemac.com.au before Wednesday, December 18.
