Sebastian Andersson scored twice to hand Union Berlin a 2-0 home win over Cologne in the Bundesliga on Sunday and leave Billy Goats coach Markus Gisdol still searching for his first victory.

A first-half header and second-half strike which just crossed the line were the difference for 10th-placed Union as second-bottom Cologne stayed on eight points, four from safety.

It was Gisdol's third game in charge of Cologne since replacing Achim Beierlorzer but so far he has only managed a point at home to Augsburg last weekend.

Overall Cologne have just two wins from their 14 league games this term, in stark contrast to fellow promoted side Union who now have six wins and are beginning to look comfortable in their first season in the top-flight.

Werder Bremen host bottom side Paderborn, on five points, in the late Sunday game.

Borussia Monchengladbach remain top of the table after Saturday's 2-1 comeback win over champions Bayern Munich, who have slipped to seventh and are seven points off first place.
