Hunter-based not-for-profit and charity organisations seeking funding for projects are being encouraged to apply for Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation grant.
"This year we are looking to fund projects that take an innovative, but local approach addressing important community issues," the foundation's executive officer, Graham Batten, said.
"Our goal is to support projects that help to rewrite the future for people who are disadvantaged, marginalised or isolated and also support social opportunity in our regional communities."
Past grant recipients include Mai-Wel Limited's Sensational Spaces in Maitland and Ronald McDonald's House in Newcastle. Funding submissions close May 5.
