THE Gum Ball festival has been shifted to October 1-5 and will be held concurrently with sister event Dashville Skyline in response to the coronavirus crisis.

The two-pronged festival will be known as "Sky Ball."
"Please know we have worked through all options available to us, considering what we see as a vulnerable time for many and have decided this to be the most achievable and safest scenario for all involved," Gum Ball organisers said.
Any tickets purchased for Gum Ball will be transferable for Sky Ball.
Meanwhile Newcastle French Films announced the postponement of the 2020 season of programs including French Fridays and the Newcastle French Film Festival.
According to a statement, the group is working with Event Cinemas Kotara, reschedule the events.
"This decision has been taken to protect our patrons and staff, in compliance with the Australian Government's restrictions."
