Hanna Dickinson fraudulently obtained $100,230.73 in Disability Support Pension benefits between January 2014 and October 2018 by claiming she had Leiomyosarcoma.

The 27-year-old was handed a two-and-a-half year jail sentence in Victoria's County Court on Tuesday for what Judge Sarah Dawes said were "disgraceful" lies.

Dickinson must serve just 12 months before being released on a $1000 recognisance order requiring her to be of good behaviour for three years.

She's already behind bars after breaching an earlier court order for a separate cancer con.

Her latest lies involved faking medical documents, including one purporting to be from a doctor and another from a surgeon, to claim the disability pension.

She said she was about to start chemotherapy and was looking at overseas treatment options.

Dickinson even tricked her own mother, who in 2014 told Services Australia that Dickinson only had three months to live.

The department approved the claim without ensuring it was authentic, because her supposedly terminal condition meant she was exempt from a Services Australia-ordered medical assessment.

"This was a sustained and deliberate fraud against the social welfare system ... it was motivated by greed," Judge Dawes said.

"You fantasised about a lot of money and the happiness it would bring ... you wanted to party hard and maintain an extravagant lifestyle.

"I consider your conduct disgraceful."

Dickinson's lies were uncovered when her payments were data-matched with Australian Taxation information.

She pleaded guilty to dishonestly obtaining advantage by deception and cried during her sentence.

The court was told she had borderline and narcissistic personality disorders, which Judge Dawes accepted played into the fraud.

Dickinson was bullied as a child and used her parents' money to buy her classmates lunch in an effort to ingratiate herself with them.

As an adult, she said she was hooked on the adrenaline rush caused by lying.

She has been served with a court order to repay $92,178.72 of the illegally obtained funds still outstanding.

Dickinson is already part way through a separate jail term for breaching an earlier court order.

In 2018, she conned friends and family into raising $41,770 for treatment for cancer she didn't have.

She was initially spared prison and handed a non-custodial sentence.

Dickinson breached that by falsifying documents to get a $30,000 car loan and was subsequently jailed in June for eight months.
