A 21-year-old woman has been shot in the arm north of Brisbane in what authorities believe was a targeted attack.
The incident occurred at a property in Burpengary East on Thursday afternoon, with the woman taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Queensland Police said six people, including two children, were in the house at the time of the incident. They do not believe the attack was random.
Two men fled the house and are on the run.
"While we believe two men fled the house on foot, we have no information at this time to indicate they are a threat to anyone else," Moreton Bay district Inspector Craig White said in a statement on Thursday.
"Police are in the area conducting extensive foot, vehicle and aerial patrols."
